Subfloor Flaws and Repairs
Cracks, damage, moisture issues? These must be dealt with prior to leveling. We use the right products and techniques to get your subfloor ready for leveling.
– Cracks must be repaired, or they can transfer into newly leveled floors, marring the new finish. We repair them with epoxy and cement patches suitable to the situation.
– Extreme Conditions: If your floor is out of level by more than two, four, six inches, it can be fixed. Ask us about our techniques to re level extremely un level surfaces.

Lightweight Leveling Compounds

Lightweight leveling compounds are a great option on floors and  structures with weight restrictions but require the same strict specifications of subfloor tolerance for new flooring installations.

If your worried about adding too much weight when leveling your floors then we highly recommend installing these products. Weight is reduced by 50% over regular weight leveling compound

Moisture Counteraction

Some homes have in adequate moisture barrier systems beneath the concrete slab and depending on the age of your home, a moisture barrier is not likely to have been installed during construction. These moisture issues must be dealt with prior to leveling and installation of any new flooring.
A concrete slab that is on or below grade should be checked for moisture. Failure to resolve moisture issues can result in:
• delamination of: leveling compounds, peal and stick membranes, and adhesives.
• damage to wood and laminate flooring.
• moisture will result in a build up of mold under vinyl flooring.
• void all flooring manufactures warranties.
LEVEL MASTER  can test and remedy this problem for good. We install surface moisture barrier systems designed by industry leading manufactures which limit the transfer of moisture. Once the these issue are resolved we are able to level the floor.

Surface Preparation
There is a five year warranty on all our leveling installations. Surface preparation is crucial for this warranty. We follow the guidelines of the concrete manufacturer by mechanically cleaning and profiling prior to leveling. Impurities that can affect the bond line of the new concrete leveling compound are removed: i.e. glue, paint, drywall mud, etc. This dramatically decreases any chance of failure in the installation.  All surface prep is controlled with concrete vacuums dust collectors and air filtration units to maintain a dust free environment during installation.
